2017 Coudoulet de Beaucastel Côtes-du-Rhône
Review Date: 11-13-2019
It's an impossible task to replicate the soaring heights that were achieved in vintages such as 2016, but if there's one stalwart up to the test its Beaucastel. The 2017 Coudoulet is another triumph that is hitting the shelves at the perfect time, as I can't think of another sub-$25 red that offers this level of quality, not to mention versatility. This is one of those rare gems that is light enough on its feet to pair with roasted turkey yet has the stuffing to serve next to a rack of prime rib. Say hello to your new favorite holiday dinner companion.

2017 Chateau de la Maltroye Bourgogne Blanc
Review Date: 08-13-2019
A truly stellar effort from Maltroye, this Bourgogne Blanc possesses the verve, precision, and complexity that is seldom found at the village level. It offers Bosc pear and citrus on the nose and the theme continues into an expansive, rich, and weighty palate. Although its immensely appealing now there is no doubt that it will benefit from a few years of bottle age.

2010 La Rioja Alta "904" Gran Reserva Rioja
Review Date: 08-09-2019
This is traditional Rioja through and through. Offering gorgeous aromas of dried blackberries, dark cherries, and vanilla, underpinned by a savory plumminess that begs your nose to go back for another whiff. The palate is silky and round, with sweet dark fruits, strawberries, pipe tobacco, and a splash of cola. You can pull the cork tonight or let it run for another two decades. This is a singular red for any occasion.

2014 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 01-14-2019
2014 is the most underrated Napa vintage of the decade. Having been sandwiched in between two highly lauded, and successful campaigns, the '14s never took off like they should have. The reality is that 2014 was an incredible year - perhaps there was just too much noise surrounding the neighboring vintages - and Dunn's Howell Mountain bottling is a shining example of the heights that the vintage quietly achieved. Loaded with plush notes of blackberry, creme de cassis, cedar, and a hint of graphite, this wine perfectly encapsulates everything that makes 2014 the sleeper vintage that it is.

2014 Jax "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Review Date: 01-19-2017
Truth be told, fifty bucks is becoming the entry level price for an estate cab coming out of Napa these days. We are reaching an era of skyrocketing prices - some producers are doubling the rates for their 2015 releases. Literally. Less than 1000 cases of Jax's estate Cabernet was produced this year and our share will likely evaporate soon. It's a big, fruit-driven wine that is immediately accessible and will continue to be for the next 5-9 years.

Michel Arnould Verzenay "Reserve" Brut Champagne (1.5L)
Review Date: 10-03-2016
This is a fantastic non-vintage bottling from Michel Arnould. The blend consists of a heavy dose of Pinot Noir (75%) and the rest Chardonnay, which creates a wonderfully delicate and floral nose that leads into heaps of red fruit and red berries. The finish is clean and citric. A truly special bottle of bubbles.

Westland Sherry Wood American Single Malt Whiskey (750ml)
Review Date: 08-06-2016
My personal favorite of our current Westland lineup. Aromas of Fig Newtons, toasted pecan, mocha and dried yellow fruits to cap it off. It isn't too oily or sweet, it's an honest, lively whiskey that begs to be had neat, or with a single rock.

Westland Peated American Single Malt Whiskey (750ml)
Review Date: 08-06-2016
In the spectrum of American single malts, Westland is at the apex of my list. Each and everything they offer is of incredible quality and reasonably priced. Their peated whiskey, priced at $69.99, rivals most Scotch whiskeys that command upwards of $100.00. It's rich, focused and balanced, showing notes of smokey creme brulee, vanilla, pie crust and scorched orange peel. Easily one of the best American whiskeys on the market today.

Westland American Single Malt Whiskey (750ml)
Review Date: 08-05-2016
Westland's American Single Malt is truly a show stopper. It houses very pure single malt Scotch-like characteristics (reminiscent of a classic Speyside) while adding some additional notes of vanilla extract, espresso bean and dried Medjool dates. This could be a game changer for you, come scoop a bottle and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

2009 Trimbach "Cuvée Frédéric Émile" Riesling Alsace
Review Date: 04-06-2016
The Trimbach family tradition of viticulture dates back to 1626. Yes, you read that right, they have been in the industry for 390 years! Read the above ratings from the critics (and below from our in-house critics!) to see exactly what this wine is all about. On the nose, the wine is youthful and bright with faint aromas of petrol and apple skin. On the palate, the wine bursts with citrus, pear, apple and finishes clean with lingering acidity. This is a truly special one. Drink now or hold. Your choice.

La Petite Marquise Crémant de Loire Brut
Review Date: 04-05-2016
It's toasty and light, floral and fruity, drinkable and inexpensive. Enough said, right? While lovely all by itself, it's also a bottle that you don't feel guilty adding a dash of crème de cassis to for a brunch-time sparkling cocktail.

Antech Blanquette de Limoux Brut Nature
Review Date: 11-12-2015
With no dosage added, this is the driest of the Antech line. Always crisp and refreshing, it's my opinion that Antech produces the highest quality value-driven sparkling wine on the market right now. The perfect bottle for a wedding, party, or just another Tuesday night.

2012 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Springs" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Review Date: 09-02-2015
This Zin-heavy, old vine blend shows notes of black cherry, sage and vanilla. The wine finishes long with a soft, velvety tannin and spicy punch. Add this bottling to the long list of home runs by Ridge.

Louise Brison "L'Impertinente" Brut Rosé Champagne
Review Date: 08-13-2015
These bubbles are derived from 100% Pinot Noir and emit wonderful fragrances of cassis, wild strawberries and a tinge of minerals. Upon entry, this sparkler is crisp and light, while continuing to show a tenacious amount of strawberries, red fruit and toast. Enjoy these bubbles with a grilled pork loin, a sunset and good company!
