2015 Georg Albrecht Schneider Dornfelder, Rheinhessen

Importer's notes: "The varietal Dornfelder is a new German varietal, dating from 1955, and is a cross between Helfensteiner & Heroldrebe. Not only the skins, but also the juice is red, so it is possible to make a dark-colored red wine without blending. It is produced very traditionally, i.e. carefully selected ripe & healthy fruit, undergoing mash fermentation, and is matured in old oak for at least 10 months."

2016 Strub "Flächenhal" Niersteiner Hipping Riesling Spätlese Rheinhessen

92 points James Suckling: "This is a pretty cool cucumber! A serious wine that isn't loud or dramatic, but has plenty of depth and a lot of deliciacy at the off-dry finish. Where is the shrimp tempura? Drink now. " (09/2017) 91 points Vinous: "Smoky black tea, bacon, cress and wintergreen mingle with pear and lime in an aromatic display whose diversity anticipates what follows on a lush yet buoyant, unapologetically sweet yet animatingly juicy palate. The lusciously lingering finish cools, nips and milks the salivary glands. Based on this bottling’s cu ...

2017 Wittmann "Aulerde" Riesling Grosses Gewächs Rheinhessen (Dry)

95 points James Suckling: "Lavish yellow fruit, including some almost overripe pineapple. This just avoids tipping into opulence; there's healthy acidity and that lifts this monster dry riesling at the bold, herbal finish. From almost 70 year old vines. Biodynamically grown grapes. Respekt certified. Drink or hold." (09/2018) 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Intensely smoky, spicy mineral tones accent buoyant white grapefruit and lemon in this intensely ripe yet pertly balanced Riesling. Sourced from fruit grown in the producer's warmest south-facing slopes ...

2018 Wittmann "Estate" Riesling trocken (dry) Rheinhessen

Importer's notes: "The Wittmann Estate Riesling Trocken is harvested by hand from estate-owned vineyards around the village of Westhofen. It is fermented with native yeasts and matured in large, neutral oak casks. The wine shows a deep, stony aroma, with an elegant structure and bright citrus juice that leads to a lingering, piquant finish."
