2016 Peyrabon, Haut-Médoc

SKU #1425894 91 points Vinous

The 2016 Peyrabon has a finely detailed bouquet with blackberry, raspberry, pressed flower and mineral aromas. This exudes class. The palate is well balanced with fine grain tannin, one of the more saline Cru Bourgeois with touches of oyster shell and spice towards the poised, edgy finish. Very fine. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London. (NM) (10/2018)

91 points Wine Enthusiast

With its high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has a good structure and ripe, generous black-currant flavors. Its fresh character gives juiciness that contrasts with the rich fruits. It's a wine with tannins and aging potential. *Best Buy* (RV) (4/2019)

K&L Notes

This is a property very close to Pauillac, and it's one to watch out for now and in the future. These wines are well-made, value-driven, and deliver good depth and length. Proprietor Patrick Bernard owns 50 hectares of gravel soils and with the aid of winemaker Xavier Michelet, produce elegant, silky, and vibrant wines that won't break the bank.
